My Smart Niece, LUCE
Prior to that she tried something really witty which made me laugh. We were at a bookstore and I asked her if she wants any Disney Princess VCDs but as she was holding on to another Disney Princess pop up book as it was already hers she had all her interest towards this one. Being the nice aunt that I am, I agreed to buy it as her birthday present, which later on was the gift wrapped in yellow.
Then she comes again holding another book, along with the Disney Princess book and makes this remarkable comment:
"Friends Sila" (Referring to the two books saying they are friends)
I'd give her lots of credit for that, but my sister told her to choose only one. She then confirmed and said, "Pili ako? Ok" (I Should choose one? Ok). She somehow knew she had her limits too but just thought to give it a shot and asked it in a creative manner.
I couldn't forget about this so I told my parents about this new trick that Luce has. My dad observed that her humor is almost that of a grown-up. Sometimes, she would also make comments after she makes a song/dance presentation, such as "Palakpak ka" (Clap for me!) "Lakasan mo" (Clap louder!) or simply says "Si Faye ba ako?" (Talking to me, am I Faye? Referring to her mom)
Well, she's turning 4 in 2 weeks and indeed growing up to be a very smart girl. I may not be there for her birthday celebration but I dedicate this spot of my blog to her and wish her to be even smarter when she grows up. ;)
