Latest addiction: Cheesecakes!

Apart from eating it I've also been into experimenting various type of cheesecakes.

After mastering some of the warm Filipino dishes(Adobo, Pancit Canton, Lumpia, etc.) , I realized I don't usually have a dessert that goes with it. So I attended Auntie Abat's school of cooking, a.k.a. Assisting her in the kitchen. She's very well known in our family for making pasta that takes 2-hours to make and a few minutes to enjoy and many other dishes.
Since I've been living with her the past months here in Singapore, I've been her apprentice in various dishes that she was making. What interested me the most these days was the cheesecake. At one Filipino gathering she was preparing a blueberry cheesecake and I just started inquiring about the recipe and observing how she actually made it in just a few minutes. So since then I've been trying to copy the recipe with a few of my friends loving it. I experimented on making oreo cheesecake to add some variation.

Even though I know a very good friend of mine still believes that I am really good at ordering it from somewhere else. :) Maybe I'll have to try and make my aunt's famous potato salad or caesar salad dressing next, but for now I must enjoy the sweetness of a cheesecake.

Hi Liv!

Just discovered your blog and read a little in it. That with the cheesecake sounds really delicious so if I ever come to visit you now you know what to prepare. Also had to smile at another entry when people thought you are another nationality, that sounds somehow familiar, remember in Thailand :-p

Have a great day,

Thorsten
